Overview

Me Boudreault has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2001. He was President of the Quebec Immigration Lawyers Association from 2013 to 2018, Vice-president of Montreal Pride from 2008 to 2020 and played an active role within the immigration law section of the Canadian Bar Association from 2005 to 2008. Since 2021, he is the CEO of the Hotel Association of Greater Montreal. He is passionate about traveling, tourism and promoting Montreal.

Following his postgraduate studies in public international law at Université de la Réunion (1999) and his law degree from Université Laval (2000), he began his career in 2002 as a lawyer specialized in international business and immigration law at the Hong Kong office of an international law firm. He then became the Director of their Beijing office in 2003. Because of his management experience, he was asked to come back to Montreal in 2004 to set up and manage their Montreal office and to help develop the Middle Eastern market. This phase of his career gave him the opportunity to travel to Syria, United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh, to only name a few countries.

He has been asked to share his knowledge on immigration and LGBTQ+ rights through conferences and seminars. In 2007, he started his own law firm, where he is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the business while conducting interviews in Damascus, Montreal, Hong Kong, Paris and Turkey for immigrant investors and entrepreneurs. He has also been a speaker at numerous seminars and conferences for multiple organizations in Canada, Asia and the Middle East. From 2015 until 2021, he also acted as legal counsel responsible for recruiting clients, managing files and providing legal advice on behalf of many firms.

Community involvement is very important to him, not only to be able to stay informed on social issues that vulnerable and discriminated communities are facing, but also so that society as a whole can take advantage of its privileges. Thus, he has been involved in the community since his youth.

Alongside his professional experience, he chose in 2006 to use his talents for the benefit of the 1st World Outgames Montreal 2006, both within the marketing-communication team and as a legal advisor for the organization. After a successful first edition, he joined the Board of directors of GLISA (Gay and Lesbian International Sport Association), where he was one of the negotiators of the licensing agreement for the second edition, which was held in Copenhagen.

Throughout his career, he has been a spokesperson for different organizations, which led him to do many interviews on television, on the radio and in the press. In January 2022, he completed a course in television and radio animation at Promédia School.
